Dr. Dimitrios Kateris

Dr. Dimitrios Kateris is an Assistant Researcher (Grade C) at the Institute for Bio-economy and Agri- technology (iBO) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). In 2015 he received his PhD in Agricultural Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for his dissertation on “Intelligent system for fault diagnosis in agricultural tractor mechanical subsystems”. Also, he holds a MSc in Agricultural Engineering and Water Resources from the same Institute (2009) and two BSc in Hydraulics, Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2006) and from Technological Educational Institute of Thessaly (1999) respectively. His research interests lie mainly in the areas of Agricultural Engineering, Condition Monitoring, Operations Management in Agriculture, Agricultural Automation, Agricultural Robotic Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Fault Diagnosis, Whole-body Vibration in Agriculture. His involvement with the above research areas has led to the co-authoring of over 30 papers in refereed journals, 2 books, 6 book chapters, 1 patent and more than 90 papers in international and national conferences. He has served as a regular reviewer for a number of international journals and conferences. Also, he has participated in more than 11 European and National Projects.
