Jean-Pierre CHANET, is an electronic engineer from the Polytech Clermont school (1990). He obtained his Master in robotic in 1992 and his PhD in computer science in 2007 from the University Blaise Pascal (Clermont-Fd). He obtained a « Habilitation à diriger des recherches » in computer science from the University Blaise Pascal in 2016. He is at the head of the “Technologies and information systems for agrosystems” research unit of INRAE since 2014. He contributes to several European projects (TWISTER, NetAdded, OTAG, Eranet ICT-Agri 1 & 2). He works on IoT and information management in agriculture. He is a member of different review comities for conferences and revues on wireless sensor networks and information systems for agriculture and environment.
